NORDIC COTTAGES

Welcome to Nordic Cottages – New Affordable Homes in Poulsbo

COMING SOON IN FALL 2025

Nordic Cottages is Poulsbo’s first city-led affordable housing community, offering eight one-bedroom homes for older adults and adults with disabilities. Located at 609 NE Lincoln Road, this thoughtfully designed community provides stability and comfort in a welcoming neighborhood setting.

Residents enjoy features that promote both affordability and sustainability. Solar panels help reduce utility costs, while a community garden—built with volunteer support—offers a space to connect, grow, and relax.

Developed through a partnership between the City of Poulsbo and Housing Kitsap, Nordic Cottages was funded by the Washington State Department of Commerce, Kitsap County HOME/CDBG program, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) grant program, and Poulsbo’s local affordable housing tax. Preference is given to applicants who live or work in Poulsbo.

Community Features:

  • One-bedroom apartment homes
  • Designed for older adults and adults with disabilities
  • Solar panels help lower utility costs
  • Shared community garden
  • Preference for Poulsbo residents and workers
  • Solar panels supported by PSA Green Power helping to reduce utility costs for Nordic Cottage residents

  • All eight units are income-restricted. Please check the current waitlist status.

Waitlist openings will be publicly announced in the Kitsap Sun, on Housing Kitsap’s website, and through the agency’s Facebook page once leasing begins.

Nordic Cottages is more than housing—it’s community, affordability, and a place to call home.
